Jerry McHugh

 

Jerry McHugh, Jr. is passionate about the oil and gas industry and that passion is reflected by his work in the San Juan Basin. Jerry has been involved in the oil and gas business since 1976. His career started in his college years with summer jobs in the oil fields. Following graduation from Colorado College in 1980, his first job was working in the exploration department as a field landman for a dominant San Juan Basin independent oil and gas company, Dugan Production. In 1983 Jerry went to work for Nassau Resources. His duties involved leasing, drilling, and supervision of a large coal-seam field in the Carson National Forest, New Mexico, among other drilling projects. Jerry served as Operations Vice President and President of Nassau Resources.

In 1990 Jerry formed San Juan Resources, Inc. and has continued to build that company. It is a vibrant, forward-moving independent natural gas and oil producer. San Juan Resources' primary focus is exploration. drilling and production in the San Juan Basin of New Mexico.

Jerry participated in several industry associations including the Independent Petroleum Association of New Mexico, of which he was a board member, the Western Energy Alliance(fka the Independent Petroleum Association of the Mountain States), and the Independent Petroleum Association of America.

Jerry is married to Stacy, has five children, Zack (1984), Jordan (1985), Holly (1987), Maire (2001), and Gracie (2003). He resides in the Crestmoor neighborhood in East Denver.
